Jugular Microdialysis in Mice

Chronic Jugular Microdialysis

Researchers from the HHMI Janelia Research Campus have developed a technique for chronic jugular microdialysis that enables continuous sampling of blood chemistry in freely moving mice. They will present the technique in a webinar hosted by CMA on March 25, 2026 at 10:00a (Eastern)

The equipment used for the technique features a probe designed specifically for the application by CMA. The probe is designed to attach to Instech’s two channel Vascular Access Button™, which exteriorizes the inlet and outlet channels on the back of the mouse, and connects to the swivel using a specially-designed looped-wire tether.
