Electronic Assembly Technician

We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Electronic Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team in Plymouth Meeting, PA.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Hand assembly of electronic components for research following written procedures
  • Position and align components with the aid of alignment equipment
  • Solder, crimp, stake, screw, bolt, rivet, weld, cement, press fit, or perform similar operations to join or secure parts in place, using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment
  • Mount assembled components, such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets, on chassis panel
  • Connect component lead wires to printed circuits or routes and connect wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points, using soldering
  • Install finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases
  • Assemble and attach hardware, such as caps, clamps, knobs, and switches, to assemblies
  • Adjust or trim materials from components to achieve specified electrical or dimensional characteristics
  • Perform on-line go-not-go testing and inspection, using magnifying devices, measuring instruments, and electronic test equipment, to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards
  • Maintaining quality and production documentation related to your work
  • Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedule
Job requirements and experience:
  • High school diploma or GED (required)
  • Previous experience in manufacturing setting (required)
  • Previous experience in small electronic assembly (strongly preferred)
  • Technical education in electronics (preferred)
Physical demands:
  • Detailed hand assembly
  • Operate production equipment
  • Occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds
