Carotid Artery Catheters for Mice

Our 1Fr carotid artery catheters (CACs) for mice have a 1Fr polyurethane tip segment that transitions to either 2Fr polyurethane to fit 25ga mouse Vascular Access Buttons™ or 3Fr to fit 22ga VABs. Features and lengths vary to suit surgical preferences. Minimum order quantity is 5 pieces. See the table below for detailed specification sheets.

Always use sterile lock and flush solutions, otherwise you are defeating the purpose of using a sterile catheter.

Proper tip placement is critical with carotid artery catheterizations in mice; 1mm can make the difference between success and failure. The catheter models shown here are based on the Instech/Lapierre surgical procedure and feature insertion lengths from 9 to 13mm.
