Pharmaceutical-Grade For Laboratory Animal Research
Are you putting your animals and research at risk by flushing catheters with solutions that are not pharmaceutical-grade, or not even sterile?
We make these sterile solutions with heparin sodium in low concentration (10U/mL and 20U/mL) following the USP <797> standard for compounding sterile pharmaceutical preparations, and fill high-quality NORM-JECT syringes using aseptic technique. The plunger of these two-piece syringes pushes out the entire volume, leaving no dead space for air bubbles or wasted solution.
Isotonic saline without heparin is needed for checking catheter patency, drawing blood samples and for fluid replacement. Bags of pharmaceutical-grade saline are readily available; however, maintaining the sterility of the saline in the bag over time, and filling syringes under strict aseptic conditions can be challenging in many lab settings.
We fill high-quality BD® syringes with USP Sterile Grade 0.9% NaCl (Normal Saline) following the USP standard for compounding sterile preparations.
If you will be accessing Instech Vascular Access Buttons™ or PinPorts™, choose syringes with the needle free PNP3M injectors already installed. The syringes are sealed to keep the contents sterile.
Syringes are sold in 10 packs of 5, 50 syringes in total. If you need a concentration or format not listed here please fill out this form:
These solutions are not approved for human use. They are for laboratory animal research only. AAALAC recommends that pharmaceutical-grade compounds be used in laboratory animal research when available.
