Multi-Axis Counter-Balanced Lever ArmsInitially designed to minimize stress on microdialysis probes, Instech's counter-balanced lever arms move vertically and horizontally with the animal to prevent slack in the tether. While most other lever arms use a mass as the counterbalance, ours use adjustable springs to make them lighter and more responsive.
The mounting plate can be adjusted for mounting to the side or top of many types of cages, including our MTANK. The MCLA is a 6-inch (15cm) arm that is typically used with rats. The SMCLA is a 3 1⁄2-inch (9cm) arm that is practically a requirement for any infusion or microdialysis study involving mice.
