About the Company

Founded in 1971, Instech Laboratories, Inc. is a privately-owned company focused on the design, development and manufacturing of instruments for biomedical research. The majority of Instech's business comes from a range of products that evolved from the founder's experience in basic medical sciences, including infusion systems, dissolved oxygen monitors and miniature stirring systems.

In 1999 Instech Laboratories and Solomon Scientific joined to provide laboratory animal infusion solutions under one roof. The two companies' complementary products are now presented in a single catalog and on this combined website. Furthermore, this virtual merger has created a team with unparalleled expertise in laboratory animal infusion research products.

Instech remains committed to its customers in university, government, and corporate laboratories by offering these products in standard and custom configurations, and by making them available directly from Instech and from a number of distributors worldwide.

An second part of Instech's business comes from R&D engineers around the world that choose to incorporate Instech's designs into their products. Instech's line of innovative, high-quality OEM products includes miniature peristaltic pumps, high-efficiency shuttle pumps and control circuitry for small permanent-magnet brush motors. Instech's engineering department is available to help you select the best product for your application and to provide custom modifications if required.

Instech's facility is configured for both design and manufacturing. It includes an electronics design laboratory, a CAD center employing the latest software for 3D mechanical design and PCB layout, a modern machine shop and areas for mechanical, electronic and clean-room assembly. Solomon Scientific manufactures ports, catheters and other components at its own clean-room facility in Texas.
