Polarographic Oxygen Measurement

The polarographic systems are based on a miniature Clark-style electrode. Measuring only 1/8 of an inch in diameter (3.2 mm), it has been designed to measure dissolved oxygen concentrations in small samples. It is ideal for metabolic studies of mitochondria, cell suspensions, and enzyme assays.

Instech's polarographic electrodes work with Instech model 203 amplifiers as well as the YSI 5300A Biological Oxygen Monitor and Diamond General Chemical Microsensor.

NOTE: The polarographic systems have been discontinued and replaced with fiber optic fluorescence lifetime systems. However, Instech will continue to manufacture electrodes and related components to support existing customers.
