Fiber Optic Oxygen Measurement
Instech
has developed a range of systems that combine the benefits of fiber optic
oxygen probes with Instech's unique small sample chambers.
The optical sensors have several advantages over polarographic
electrodes, including lower maintenance, longer-lasting calibrations,
no stirring
artifacts, virtually zero oxygen consumption by the sensor, excellent
performance at low pO2 levels, a lower temperature coefficient, and
the
ability to measure gaseous as well as dissolved oxygen.
