Catheters for Laboratory Animals

This expertise translates into dependable designs, high-quality manufacturing and strong technical support. A critical feature of a SoloCath™ catheter is the rounded distal tip. Data suggest the rounded tip is less traumatic to the intimal lining of blood vessels than are square or bevel cut catheters which in turn leads to improved patency.

SoloCath™ catheters are available silicone, polyurethane or heparin-coated polyurethane and in sizes for mice to large animals. Most include moveable suture bulbs as a standard feature, and many other options are available on a customized basis.

Instech Solomon's newest catheter, the 3 French WhiteTip™ for rats, features a soft tip to further improve patency.
